Overall it’s excellent and there is a new bulb to light it. The score displays are perfect and have all been resoldered so there won’t be bad connections. The coin door is very nice and shiny.

The playfield shows some serious wear - but that’s because this is such a great and dependable game. This side has a flaw just under the flipper button. Note that all of the bumper caps and targets are original 8 ball deluxe parts. Comes with coin mechs and original bally coin box.

We get everything working electronically. On this pin, all of the score displays not only work, but work perfectly - no missing segments; no burned up numbers. The lights, coils, and switches all work fine on this also.

But keep in mind that this game is now over 30 years old. Of the bulb sockets on the playfield and some of the switches might be a tad bit flaky from time to time. But it shouldn’t affect game play much. And the more you play it, the better things will get. The worst thing you can do to a pinball (well, maybe not the worst) is to let it sit for years without getting played.

On this pinball, we also rebuilt the sound boards (squawk and talk), replacing all of the capacitors and the adjustment potentiometers. So the sound and speech are perfect unlike many 8 ball deluxes.
We also made sure the game had all the correct original targets and bumper parts. This is a 100% original eight ball deluxe. The game really plays great. In fact, i (as well as many others i know) consider eight ball deluxe to be the best, most fun 1-ball pinball ever made (meaning it doesn’t have multiball). The rules are excellent, the shots are laid out nicely.

Consequently, this is one reason almost every eight ball deluxe you find has a playfield that looks like this one - worn with lots of bare wood showing. These games got a ton of play. In fact, it is such a great game that 8 ball deluxe is one of only two pinball machines i chose to put in my playable arcade museum in central il (see for details).
The good news is that having a worn playfield such as this one does not affect game play one bit. This still plays beautifully after our reconditioning. The flippers are nice and strong, and the rubbers, bumpers, and slingshots work great. The game comes with locks/keys, coin mechs, original coin box. Note: you might have noticed in the pictures that the fluorescent bulb is not lit, and that the ballast is missing from the power brick in the cabinet. It was missing, but i ordered a new ballast and will install it as soon as it comes in - probably today.

First of all, both of us are engineers from the university of il. Second, one of us (not me) actually worked at williams pinball during the boom years and even designed a game for williams (which they never produced, but stole several ideas from for other games). Finally, both of us were previously top founding executives at a very promising internet startup company until fairly recently. One of us (me) is down on his luck, and therefore monkeying with old pinballs again. But honestly, we should be ruling the world, not replacing rubber bands on a 30 year old bally pinball machine. God works in strange and mysterious ways. So you can own a game reconditioned by two top silicon valley executives. Physically, this game is generally in average condition. The backglass is very nice with only a couple of very minor flaws (which you can see in the pictures above if you look closely). But no bubbling, separating, etc.

As mentioned above, the game has been fully shopped and therefore has new light bulbs and rubber bands which gives the playfield a very nice, new look. It looks pretty good, but does have one little gouge in the right side under the flipper button. Bottom line: this pinball is not nice enough for a museum, but it would look and function just perfectly for a home rec room. And it sure does play is so fun! Get it out of my shop so i can stop getting distracted with it!!

You are biddding on a 1982 eight ball deluxe made by bally game lights up but will not start a game. Will need to be shopped out. The cabinet is good with a little weathered flaking on the left front corner. The back glass looks good but has a little lifting.

The playfield plastics are good with only one small chip off the lower corner of the large plastic right above the targets. The playfield has some wear which can be seen in the photos. Game has keys, manual, coin box and coin mecs.. The cabinet is above average. North american van lines does a great job at a reasonable rate. Must be paid with 7 days and must be picked up within 2 weeks.

This is a very desirable 13′ ball bowler. These ball bowlers still remain thee best coin operated arcade item for any game room. These things are a blast to play and way better than any shuffle bowler. This bowler is working 100%.

This machine was just gone through to insure everything was working properly. All the score reels turn nicely and are not gummed up. All the units in the back have been gone through and cleaned/adjusted to insure years of trouble free playing.
The seven different games this machine has all work nicely. All the pins/switches register correctly for strikes, spares, points, etc. The seven games on this machine are flash, regulation, line-up, advance, bonus, special, and all spares bowling.

The coin door is complete and fully functional on coins which includes the original coin mech. The lift motor has just been rebuilt and works great. The cabinet is very nice and very solid. The original 4-1/2 big bowler balls all look nice. The backglass is in nice condition as you can see in pictures.

The lower plexi glass looks good but does have two cracks which is very common on these bowlers from people hitting them with the balls. I don’t know what else to say about this machine other than this is just a really nice, fun, fantastic piece of arcade history to add to your den or game room and is a true family type game. Don’t forget, you can play up to six players on this machine. This is one of those machines that most people remember playing years ago, and for those that haven’t played a ball bowler, you really have to play this machine. The precursor to the modern solenoid push button side fliippers on machines today. The object of this game was to manipulate the balls into the different holes which would spell out “juggle” on the marble catch area with little brass letter flip up units… Or if you did not spell out juggle and get the 2500 bonus points, the balls in the slots in which they fell have certain values and the respective points would be tallied…
A fun game for sure… This pinball machine, found in many drug stores in it day was made in 1932. It case measures 34″ x 17″ and is 9 1/2″ in the back tapering to 7″ tall in the front, the controll flipper handle and penny coin mechanism make it about 37 long. Its all original and is in perfect working order.

This pin in about average shape overall. The cabinet is nice along with some nicks and light fade. The playfield is nice with some wear spots showing where the factory mylar wasn’t applied. Please enlarge pics for specific details. Some of the drop targets are not original but work fine.

The coin door is bent but shuts ok. The backglass was about 1/3 peeled and we had no choice but to tape it down the best we could.

I have a brand new translite i will install for $100 extra if you request it. All displays are in good shape along with the pc boards in the backbox. This game could be restored should someone want the project. This game has been run through our shop. The playfield has been cleaned and waxed. All plastics and ramps have been cleaned and waxed. Ok guys here is a deal. I had this twighlight zone pin game out on my small route it was in a laundromat that has now gone out of business this pin always did well however it is a pin game and therefore has a lot of parts , i have not done a lot of maintenance on this guy so here is a list of the things wrong 1 i diabled the gumball machine because it keeps the balls sometimes 2 the rubber bumpers are in need of replacement 3 there are a lot of little light bulbs burned out 4 the playfeild is dirty 5 the dot matrix display needs replaced. So i’m not a player and maybe some other little things are not perfect but that covers the main defects.

Everything functions well as it should and whole unit inside and out is really quite clean and in excellent shape. One 1/8 inch wheel on the plane has fallen off over the years and is likely inside the machine stuck somewhere.

Functions perfect with one minor sound problem. You can see the empty spot inside on the back door where the sound card goes down on the lower right. It is missing and has been ever since we bought the game ourselves. The kids love it just the same. This machine really is in great condition all over for an arcade game.

It plays great like it should with no problems. Lights all work, ambulance comes out for a crash, plane maneuvers properly with joystick etc. You can see a great clip of the game in action on u tube under the title:.

There seems to be plenty interest in the game but the price is still very low of course. It seems the machine might part out pretty good, but it would be a shame as this game is so complete, functional, and in about as nice a shape as you could hope to find one in.
