Gottlieb king of diamonds vintage pinball machine. This is a vintage single player electro-mechanical pinball machine made by the gottlieb company (unsure of the year). Itâs in good overall original condition with normal wear. The machine features an animated back glass with falling cards (all present) and center turning roto-target card bank. The playfield is fair with some paint wear from normal use. The back glass looks good and has a few small areas of missing paint. The machine is set up to free play after coin is inserted. It has been tested and appears to function and score properly. There is no key for the coin mechanism, but the key to open the back of the machine is there.

An extra set of rubbers is included. This unit has been in storage for the last 15 years and in need of cleaning. Item must be picked up on friday april 29th or saturday april 30th!

1967 gottlieb king of diamonds pinball machine. Very nice working machine !! Offered for sale is a 1967 gottlieb king of diamonds single player pinball machine in very nice overall cosmetic and working condition. This machine has an animated back glass where cards fall down and among other features a center turning roto-target card bank the playfield is in is in better than average condition with very good rubbers. It has not been cleaned and has obvious minor use wear but overall it looks very sharp.

The backglass is also in very good condition with a pencil eraser size spot missing at the nose of the man on the right side. There is no flaking on the glass. The sides of the cabinet appear to have been repainted at sometime in it’s life. The machine was changed to free play most likely by the operator when it went to the private owner. The coin ejector holders are there but no ejectors. The insides of the machine and the backside of the coin head look very good.

I played the machine today and it seemed to work very well with playfield play and scoring. If there are any flaws in the play mode they were not noticed.

I have taken a number of photos for your inspection. It can be picked up in saginaw, michigan.

This machine was working a few years back but just stopped. Picture 5, shows the wedge head lighting up, but the play floor doesn’t. It’s believed that there is a dirty connection or one of the pins are faulty, but i’m no expert. All numbers and roto-targets are complete and intact. There are some scratches on the outside of the machine and wedge head.

This is a gottlieb king of diamonds pinball machine with no reserve. I did not test it. I took a lot of pictures so that you can see the condition of the game. The glass covering the playfield, the back door for the head, the plunger and the back of the body is missing, but this game does come with a set of legs. This game came out in 1967 as a 1 player electro mechanical (e/m) game.

Gottlieb’s 1967 “king of diamonds” electro-mechanical pinball is one of the highly collectable “wedgeheads”. This listing is for one of these 2 gottlieb 1960s wedgehead ‘cousins’ i have listed. King of diamonds –i think this unit is from 1967? I won this machine in a poker game in early 1980. It was delivered and i lost two games on it to the deliverary person.
All the bells and lights worked but at the time i didn’t register how to really operate i t. Next time i plugged it in all the lights lit up but it didn’t accept my coins in the 10c or 25c slots and i couldn’t get it to reset for a new game by tripping the internal relays, so i left it sit for the last 30 years. The playfield is in remarkable condition condidering that it is 40+ years old and was manufactured at a time when there was no mylar protection. There are a few minor wear marks but no major deterioration.
The playfield plastics are all there & in very good condition. There is a line of wear marks on the center rotating targets from the ball striking them as can be seen in the photos. The backglass is in near perfect shape except for one 1/8 speck on the lower right corner of the green poker table. The cabinet on this game is another story!

The total game counter reads 32,874. The stainless steel railings are in mint condition and the leggs and front door can be brushed to match. The metal panel for the outside coin insertion is missing.
