Gottlieb 1973 high hand pinball machine. This is a good game for those who like a card/poker theme. Very good condition pinball overall, small amount of flaking on the man in the backglass, playfield has a coupe of marks as seen in the picture, plastics very good condition, cabinet in very good condition and the pinball works fine. The rubbers and balls and some of the light bulbs have been replaced.

Just a nice gottlieb wedgehead pinball. You are welcome to come and play and inspect the pinball. The pinball is located in swansea, illinois, 15 miles east of st.

Any questions, please call randy at 618-235-0179.

Gottlieb wedgehead pinball machine titled High Hand

This is an em machine. I believe this is from 1973 but i’m not sure. It’s a one player game. I recently took this game in trade from a friend so i really don’t know much about it.

It seems to me to play with a few small issues like flickering lights and whatnot. This game has four sets of targets and the idea is to knock down all the target to score the big points. In my opinion it is actually a pretty fun game. I played this game a little more this weekend and there were a few issues with it i need to disclose.

The right hand flipper got stuck in the up position occasionally. If the button was pressed again it would release and come down.
The rebounder at the top of the playfield where the ball hits after it has been shot out needs replaced. Sometimes the ball gets stuck there. Also, the game will put up a sixth ball after the game is over.

You can shoot it but nothing scores. It just puts it out there. That’s why i ended the last listing and relisted. The game has some paperwork for it as well as keys to the coin door and back door. I’d be happy to deliver this game and help set it up free of charge as long as you live within fifty miles of area code 43945. Pretty much the canton/akron, new philadelphia, steubenville/weirton, youngstown and pittsburgh areas. I’d go up to 250 miles for an additional fifty cents a mile.

This is one of the many exhibit items we have on display in our muesem here at gretna career college in new orleans… We are auctioning off some items to make room for new historical displays that we change or start new ones which is about twice a year. When we get and item in such as this and for most we have the ability in house to clean and partially recondition… Either replace broken are missing parts and/or have them made in a local machine shop… Having a body and paint class also helps coupled with the ability to sand or glass bead blast rusty parts. Please view the pictures closely to make your judgement as to the condition of the you can tell from the pictures the outside as well as the inside are clean… And it is and older movie judging by the style of cloths which is probably around 1910… The movie is one of the typical themes of the day. A young man trying to get a kiss from the young lady he admires after he brings her home and hopefully her father will not come downstairs and catch them in the act…. But of course no such turning one small rod upside down on the main cranking gear shaft.. The machine works by turning the brass handle clockwise without inserting the coin we have it set up….

Now remember our goal for each item in the muesem is to display nicely and that the student after reading the info card instructions on each item can operate it….. The only flaw which really does not show is a hole about the size of a quarter in the bottom of the machine towards the rear… We made the small red dolly with wheels that the original stand is bolted makes it easy for us to move the machine around… We are also offering another machine of the same type but without the stand… But the unique thing about the other machine is it comes with the tall marque which is rare and hard to find.

Both of our machines are the international mutoscope machines which are machines made after 1925 and smaller versions of the original company that was just mutoscope…. Which made the hard to find cast metal clamshell version… Of which we have one…. If we are wrong we will cover the extra cost….

All switches and numbers work on the machine. There are a few lights out but that is it. Machine has brand new rubber rings everywhere and a brand new pinball.

The playfield has a few nicks in it but the machine is 40 years old. Cabinet is in good shape. The paint on the sides is very bright.

The one issue is that the lock bar itself is missing the pegs that go down into the mechanism in the cabinet. There is a photo of this. A new lockbar is available is available from “the pinball resource” here. It’s the 4th lockbar down for $45. The back panel has a lock with key.
The machine does have coin mechanisms and an old coin box. Please see the photos, i have tried to show everything. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask and i will answer them as soon as possible.

Shown here is a video of all of the switches on the machine being tested.

Very nice vintage pinball machine. The machine was made in 1973 by d. This is the ” high hand ” the machine works perfectly, i tried all aspects and it played and worked flawlessly. There is only one noticeable spot on the wood playing field, just below the the bonus hole there is a spot where it looks like when the ball pops out of the bonus hole it hits the wood (see photo).

Also included is the original brown envelope containing the manual, extra cards, and schematics for the machine. This is for pick-up only ! We live 4 hours north of harrisburg pa, and approx. 90 minutes south of buffalo ny, our zipcode is 16749 if you want to mapquest us.

I will deliver a 300 mile round trip for approx. As with all of our listings.

Determine the actual value of our listed items. We list a very large.

Variety of items, and try to describe them the best we can, however if you have.

Lucky Hand wedgehead pinball machine by Gottlieb 1977

Lucky Hand wedgehead pinball machine by Gottlieb 1977
Lucky Hand wedgehead pinball machine by Gottlieb 1977

Lucky Hand wedgehead pinball machine by Gottlieb 1977

Here’s 1 of approximately 600 lucky hand pinball machines made by gottlieb in 1977. Many consider lucky hand to be one of the most collectible pinball machines made by this or any company.

Don’t worry though, the machine comes with the keys so you can play as many games as you want with a little repair. This particular machine is in very good condition. It does have some nicks and scratches from being 30 years old.

Or so, but it’s in better condition than most lucky hands you’re likely to find. There is a scrtach on the right hands side if your at playing end of machine. It’s in original condition, the backglasses is great and looks loke new.

The game lights up perfectly and has all the proper drop targets and plastics. The game was working great but after moving it around several times it seems like the tilt rleay is froze. Game lights up but when ball goes out it will not let you flip the flippers and no points will score. The playfield is in great condition.. If you are local, you can make an appointment with me to see and play in person. I do not have the means to pack or wrap the machine so please keep this in mind. Only small repair to have a very collectable machine.
This pinball game has been stored in my house heated.

Lucky Hand wedgehead pinball machine by Gottlieb

Here’s 1 of approximately 600 lucky hand pinball machines made by gottlieb in 1977. Many consider lucky hand to be one of the most collectible pinball machines made by this or any company. This game rewards the player by means of earning extra balls to keep your game alive, as opposed to winning free games.

Don’t worry though, the machine comes with the keys so you can play as many games as you want (and it’s set for free play anyway)! It’s got drop targets which must be knocked down in a particular sequence in order to earn those extra balls. First the 2 jacks, then the 3 q’s, then the full house (3 q’s and 2 k’s) and then the royal flush (red cards). After the royal flush is obtained, the red. Will lite and only the red targets will reset.

Knocking them all down will result in earning an extra ball. Getting the ball thru the 4 rollover lanes up top representing the 4 suits of cards will also lite up 1 of the lanes with a.

Getting the ball thru the lit lane (which changes whenever the ball hits the center pop-bumper) also awards an extra ball. There’s more to the game than this including a definite strategy to score big points and even the ability to play the game set to award 50,000 points for each. And have the backglass show a score as high as 900,000 points and higher! You can see a score of over 900,000 in 1 of the pictures. This particular machine is in very good condition. It does have some nicks and scratches from being moved around over the past 30 years or so, but it’s in better condition than most lucky hands you’re likely to find. It’s in original condition with only a small amount of touchup on the reverse side of the backglass. The backglasses on these games are typically full of paint loss but again, this is as good or better than most. The game works perfectly and has all the proper drop targets and plastics.

The plastic on the right triangular bumper over the right flipper is chipped and the long plastic over the drop targets is cracked (like most), but not noticeable. The playfield is in great condition with some minor planking (cracks) mostly in the yellow paint. All lights and scoring work correctly and the machine plays great. Take a look at the pictures. There are more available for the asking and all questions will be answered promptly.

If you are local, you can make an appointment with me to see and play in person. This is my last machine with score reels and now i’m concentrating on the digital machines. The game needs nothing, but a cleaning and wax wouldn’t hurt. The rubbers are in good condition but new ones would be better i’m sure. When you get it home, just plug it in, push the red credit button, and enjoy one of the most collectible pinballs you could own.

I do not have the means to pack or wrap the machine so please keep this in mind. I can remove the backbox and the legs if so desired but that’s it. Thanks for looking and good luck!
