Call with any questions 440-823-4057. This is one of the most collectible pinball machines ever made. This pinball was the first to offer a lower playfield that sloped away from the player.
This machine also had some other great features like backbox animation and the hardest 3 ball multiball pinball ever made. Don’t miss out on this rare find.
Machine was just gone through and is working 100%. Playfield looks very nice with very little wear visible. Very hard to find this or any machine from this era with a superb playfield like this one. Playfield was just cleaned, all new rubber bumpers added, all burnt out bulbs replaced, and new pinballs added. Backglass has some minor lifting at bottom edge, however, the way this glass was made it still looks mint from the front.
This is a great machine to add to any gameroom and perfect for any collector, pinball player, or museum. If you have been looking for one of these machines then don’t pass this one by. You can’t go wrong with this great coin op item. I have bowlers, jukeboxes, video arcades, and other pinballs as well. Be sure to watch for some other upcoming pinballs i have including grand slam, harvest moon, cyclone, getaway, count down, hot tip, dragon, spectrum, mr & mrs pacman, pinball, pinball pool, flight 2000, flash, caveman, eight ball, eight ball champ, stampede, stingray, f-14 and some other great classics. Thanks for looking and good luck. I will not be held responsible for any problems that may occur once machine leaves my home. There will be no guarantees on the working condition of this machine after it leaves since these machines sometimes need adjustments after they have been moved. Mbianchi at precision-nal dot com.
Vintage Pinball Machines - Collector Information | Collectors Weekly
The electromechanical pinball machines of the and were replaced by solid-state machines, which could compute scores almost instantaneously. They also added a cacophony of sound effects to the machines repertoire of bells and whistles. Video games in the 1980s almost wiped out pinball games entirely, but a series of lucrative licensing deals with movie producers in the 1990s made pinball popular again. In 1991, for example, Bally’s Midway division manufactured a machine based on the film The…

1981 Gottlieb Black Hole Pinball Restoration - WizD Forums
6th September 2010, 0525. So being my first restoration of a Gottlieb machine I’m sure I’ll learn a lot. Besides has to do some modding around here. P I did last year this GTB machine is considered high-maintenance and has frequent electrical issues. My goal is to return the machine to near new condition and do most if not all of the circuit improvement suggested by Marvin’s fixit site in a effort to reduce this machine to a it just works machine. Since the buttons are identical to the Bally…

Backglass is very good, playfield is good, but does have some small wear spots. Gameplay is fast and challenging with 2 separate playfields, six bumpers and six flippers. This is a wide body machine with 2 playfields and 3 ball multiball and has great backglass animation. Machine has been cleaned, waxed + new rubbers installed. We do not crate/pallet any machines. This machine would be originating from pa zip code 19145.

Here is a shopped, working, gottlieb black hole pinball. This game has been completely gone through and updated as suggested by several websites dedicated to gottlieb electronics to make this pinball machine run smoothly. This includes grounding system modifications, power supply updates/rebuilds, pop bumper board upgrades(done on all 6 boards), new switches as needed, new coils as needed, new bulbs as needed, added resistors and capacitors, upgraded bottom cabinet filter capacitor, new bridge rectifiers, new/ updated wiring harness between mpu and driver boards(as pictured), and new connector pins in the molex connectors around the mpu and driver boards. I have also installed a new coin door lock and have put in 3 new pinballs. Also comes with original manual. I have put alot of time, effort, and cost in this game to make this a great machine. The upper playfield is nice, but has typical wear around the pop bumpers(as pictured). Lower playfield is in excellent condition. There are no broken/cracked plastics, as a couple were replaced with nos pieces.
The displays are bright and 100% working. The backglasses have no flaking and there is minor paint scraping on the upper astronaut’s leg from the animated spinner disc. The spinner disc motor does work, however it is very noisy. At this point i have it disconnected and recommend leaving it that way or replacing the motor. I will install an upgraded, hassle free, grainger electric motor to get the spinner motor/back box animation going properly for an additional $65.00. Just give me a couple of days to do so. This is just an overall great black hole machine. Please contact me with any questions or further info. Located in zip code 60042.

I bought this game with the intention of restoring it to original condition. I don’t have the time to invest in the game. My loss is your gain! The game is in fair shape. The upper playfield is in fair shape.
The lower playfield is in very nice shape. The spinning disk does not spin. A few plastics are broken. The backglass isn’t flaking and doesn’t have any major imperfections. The case is in nice shape.
The four main displays work, as does the playfield display. The credit display is not working. The game has a new, reproduction cpu board and power supply board. At some point someone replaced some of the capacitors. They started doing some of the gottlieb system 80 mods, but i’m not sure if they completed them. I haven’t done much with this game other than play it. It does play, but will require some work to make it 100% perfect. There’s a link below to many high resolution pictures of the game and parts. Spare upper / lower playfield, each in fair condition. Original power supply (was working when it was removed).
You must pick it up at my house in cincinnati, oh (45231). I will not split up the parts. No checks or anything else. I have a dolly and can assist in loading the machine.
As always, please write me if you have any questions.

If you have been looking for a cosmetically perfect black hole, here it is. The upper and lower playfields are perfect and clear coated. Not a mark on them.
No ball swirls, no lines. The backglass is wonderful and the black hole motor works! The cabinet is in beautiful shape as is the aprons, plastics, and hardware.
The displays work fine, the squawk and talk works, too. It keeps blowing the solinoid fuse. It was working great, and then started blowing fuses. All of my machines are electro-mechanicals (14). Consider the game non-working, so my loss is your gain. All other systems work as they should, and yes, this machine has clay’s grounding modifications. The pictures here are the actual machine and anyone who knows the hobby, knows that this is the real deal. So, don’t ask me for hyper close-up pictures.. The game is intact and i will not break it down. If you want it, come get it!
It is on the ground floor and easy access for tractor trailers. They are probably the best examples on the the east coast. This machine is so nice, i added it to my em collection.
I didn’t survive the black hole!

Our company mainly sells newer games for home and we dont specialize in older gottliebs especially system 80’s. It will need to have ground modifications and cleaning done. Please read the description carefully and ask any questions.
It still has the original drop targets! It does power up and play with exceptions. Gameplay: the game seems to function.
Sometimes you have to turn on/off a couple times for it to power up. The 4th player display is dim.
A few bulbs are out. The animation motor in the back is disconnected. The sounds and speech function. Lower playfield works ball pops up to upper level fine.
Remember: even thought the game functions long term relaibility is insured by doing the upgrades(grounds, connectors etc)more info is available online. Electronics: boards are very clean. No acid damage evident on cpu board. Power supply has discoloration near some diodes/resistors etc. Motor is bad for animation.
We are clearing out over 500+ arcade/pinball parts. I will do the best to test boards but due to differences/configurations i cant test all. I will sell as either: tested/working, untested or non working.
