This space lab is complete and unhacked and i feel it is absolutely worth restoring! The playfield shows tons of wear and tear. The cabinet is pretty nice all around as is the glass. My dad won’t take it on because number one he is a gottlieb man thru and thru and the weak condition of the playfield. He tries to only rebuild top quality machines. His loss is your gain… A once in a lifetime chance to own an original space lab at only 99 cents. Just think about how rare this machine really is. Addams family 20,270 made in 1992. Twilight zone 15,235 made in 1993. Medieval madness 4,016 made in 1997. Mermaid 600 made in 1951.

Only 507 were electro-mechanical, the rest were solid-state electronic versions. I have been collecting pinballs for 25 years and have owned hundreds of. Pet-free, smoke free home until early 2013 when i found it. The playfield is very nice (see pictures) with bright. Colors and no broken plastics. The backglass has great colors and is in very. Nice condition, but is beginning to flake some (see pictures). Cabinet is in great condition; no evidence of past break-ins or other. It has some nicks, chips and scratches here and there. (as expected for a machine this age) but not nearly the amount that i usually. See for a 70’s pinball machine.
The underside of the playfield is really. Clean and in great shape. The coin door is in nice condition and some of the. Original paperwork is present in the manufacturerâs factory manila. The bad â both slug rejecters, the coin box and the back door. I think you could source these parts from used pinball parts vendors or you may find them at the pinball expo. Numbers both match (serial #5157). It plays fast and is a very fun game. But could use a general shopping. Chicago area (on 10/17 or 10/18) or to the chicagoland coin machine show at pheasant. This is a great and rare.
