I still can’t believe i was. Lucky enough to find this super-rare gottlieb electro-mechanical (em) dragon. Gottlieb made over 7,000 dragon pinball machines, but.

Only 507 were electro-mechanical, the rest were solid-state electronic versions. I have been collecting pinballs for 25 years and have owned hundreds of. Machines but i have never even seen one before. A private family which had bought this machine in the early 1980’s. Condition of the machine is indicative of the gentle life it led in a. Pet-free, smoke free home until early 2013 when i found it. The playfield is very nice (see pictures) with bright. Colors and no broken plastics. The backglass has great colors and is in very. Nice condition, but is beginning to flake some (see pictures). Cabinet is in great condition; no evidence of past break-ins or other. It has some nicks, chips and scratches here and there. (as expected for a machine this age) but not nearly the amount that i usually. See for a 70’s pinball machine.
The underside of the playfield is really. Clean and in great shape. The coin door is in nice condition and some of the. Original paperwork is present in the manufacturerâs factory manila.
The bad â both slug rejecters, the coin box and the back door. I think you could source these parts from used pinball parts vendors or you may find them at the pinball expo. Numbers both match (serial #5157). It plays fast and is a very fun game. But could use a general shopping. Chicago area (on 10/17 or 10/18) or to the chicagoland coin machine show at pheasant. This is a great and rare.

Pinball enthusiasts already know how rare it is to see this machine for sale, especially in this excellent condition. For those that don’t know, it’s not paint splatter on the cabinet - well i guess it is but it is supposed to be there.

This has been in my family ever since i can remember - at least 20 years. It was my parents but they moved to arizona and left the pinball machine with me. The backglass is nearly perfect with only the tiniest paint chips like 3 or 4.

The cabinet has a couple of scratches and a few corners are worn but other than that the cabinet is excellent. They playfield looks very nice. There are 2 worn areas which are about the size of a nickel. One of the lights is burned out and really, i don’t know the last time it was cleaned or polished.

It could use new rubbers and a good waxing. I put a link to the page that explains this game. It has a multiball function - 2 balls.

All i know is it has been taken care of as well as a 41 year old machine can be. It comes with the schematics and numerous cards to change what counts for what.
It also comes with a 10 cent plaque that can replace the 25 cent plaque and the instructions on how to change it. It is currently set to free play since it would be a sin to put this out for the public to play. I recommend north american van lines. They are pretty reasonable i’m told. I think it is about $200 or so, of course that was a few years ago so you should call for a quote from zip code 53118.

Joker poker 4-player pinball machine. If your collection is centered around the. “transition” machines made in the late 1970’s when technology was.

Changing from electromechanical (em) to solid state (ss), here is a great. There were a few machines made during this time in both. In most cases, the em models had significantly lower.

Production rates than their ss counterparts. That is true in the case of.

Although 9,280 ss models were made. Only 820 em machines came off the. Another point to add to this. Specific machine’s collectability is the fact that. It is a sample model! Its serial number is 01025 s. Chances are good that you’ve seen many. Solid state models over the years but not many ems. For the collector, this can be a tough machine to find if youâre looking for one, so don’t miss. And to add to the good news, beyond its collectability, it’s a pretty fun machine to play with varied targets, a good strategy to. Achieve a high score, and fast action on the playfield. A fan of the poker craze. That is sweeping our land, make sure you keep reading, too!

The whole theme and game play of this. Machine is centered around poker. Main strategy of the game is to achieve better and better poker hands, hitting drop targets that represent different cards.

Single card, a pair of jacks, three queens, four kings, or the best hand, five. Your incentive to keep getting better hands is. That the number of bonus points that you get are tied to the card hands that.

As you get these card combinations, the hands light up. On the playfield to indicate the bonus points that you will get at the end.

Of that ball in play. Poker card graphics everywhere on the backglass, playfield, and plastics, you have a poker player’s dream machine! Also makes a great machine for the family gameroom because it allows up to.

One other thing to add for this specific machine. Are in very nice shape! They allow this machine to be. Placed anywhere in your home! Best for last, this machine is playing pretty well right now so it shouldnât.

Require a huge mechanical effort by you in order to be working it stands, you can get it home, plug it in and play! It doesn’t get any better or any easier than that!

Of these factors combine for a nice opportunity for you to add a fun, nice. Looking, and collectible machine to your gameroom or collection.

Although this machine is technically. Mechanically unshopped, it is working pretty well right now, but does have some. None prevent you from playing through a game, but they do. Mean that your play and score wonât be perfect right now. Has been sitting idle in my storage for a little while so it is showing the.

Classic signs of being unshopped. A few score reels are a little sticky. When resetting and donât always step up correctly when points are scored, sometimes a chime rings and sometimes it doesnât when points are scored, sometimes a target doesnât register points while other times it does, sometimes. The ball in play stepper is a little sticky in going to the next number and. Other times it works perfectly, occasionally a drop target will be sticky when.

Otherwise, everything else seems to be working very well. Throughout the game including the scoring, flippers, features, etc. Fast action on the playfield, good “pop” from the pop bumpers, and.

So, although it is short of 100% overall, it is working. My guess is that many of these issues will resolve. Themselves with more playing time since i only played a couple games to prep. As a worst case, plan on giving this machine a quick. Tune-up for optimum and perfect play. This machine needs to be played, not stored like i have been treating it. Overall cosmetics, along with its game play, make it a great addition to any. The original backglass is in excellent. There are a few very minor nicks/chips in the paint, most. Notably in the five of clubs graphics in the far lower right corner, and a.

Couple others here and there. With all the colors and graphics on. This glass, none of the imperfections are even noticeable when the glass is in. The machine unless you are really looking for them. Of the paint at all, only a few very small nicks/chips in the paint.

Place, you will be hard pressed to find any problems with the paint since it. The graphics of the jokers and playing cards, along with the colorful artwork make this a very nice looking glass. Of the colors are nice and bright with no sign of any fading. Great looking glass, but is just short of perfect. Disappointment, though, i donât think. The playfield paint is also in pretty nice. Shape, but again, just short of perfect. The only âwearâ i can see, if. You can call it that, is immediately next to a few of the round plastic inserts.

On the lower portion of the playfield. But that can also be called.

Âchippingâ since it originated from the inserts. Chipping of the solid red paint, mostly in the lower portion, along with a few. Other very small nicks/chips in the paint throughout.

Looking playfield, but it isnât perfect. The good news is that with the.

Bulk of the very thin chips being in solid red colored areas, touchups would be. Very easy to do since you wouldnât have to deal with graphics. That will make most of the chips disappear. Iâm not trying to make this. Playfield sound worse than it is!

I just want to make sure for the. Collector that you realize it isnât perfect, but it certainly isnât bad, either! All of the colors and graphics are in great shape with no sign of. The card theme is definitely continued with playing card and. This is a nice looking playfield with some.

All plastics are near mint with no cracks/breaks and. The two round pop bumper caps look nearly.

All correct drop targets are in place and are also in great. A couple show a little bit of wear to the graphics, but not real. The bottom and top metal playfield. Aprons also look great with only a couple very small imperfections in the. There are also original instruction and score.

Playfield features include three rollover. Lanes at the top, two round pop bumpers. With a joker, four kings, three queens, two jacks, and one ten, a paddle. Target, a single rollover lane along the upper right side, two sets of two. Rollover lanes on each of the bottom sides, a third flipper near the top.

Of the playfield to help you down the aces, and various other rubber contact. A fun playfield to play! The main object is to down.

The drop targets to achieve better and better hands of cards, which then the lower portion of the playfield to indicate your bonus points. You love drop target games like me, this is a machine for you since it offers. If you complete the four aces and joker, an extra ball. (same player shoots again) light is activated. Rollovers lights the extra ball and double bonus features.

King targets along with all the aces/joker or a-b-c rollovers lights the. As you can see, there are lot of ways to maximize. Your score, all of which pay dividends for your skill shots! Fun playfield layout and provides you some strategy shots.

You can also win free games by exceeding. Certain scoring levels, hitting the special when lit, or by matching your. Last two score digits to a random number that lights on the backglass at.

The end of each game. This is a âplayersâ game!

The cabinet paint appears to be original also in pretty nice shape. There are some of the normal minor nicks, chips, and scuffs, with the âworstâ being on the right side of the bottom. Cabinet and along the far bottom edge of the right side of the backbox, but. Even those arenât very bad!

The colors are nice and bright with no sign. The poker theme continues with playing card and joker. Graphics on the sides of both the backbox and bottom cabinet. Door and entry plate are excellent with very little, if any, surface. The machine does seem to play from.

Coin/credit and the two quarter coin mechs are on the backside of the. There is a working lock/key on the coin door.

Metal backbox door has a lock in place that functions using a screwdriver. Rather than a key but it does still lock in place. Are in fairly nice shape with some surface rust starting to pop up. Should buff out but you may be left with a little that wonât come out.

They are decent, but not perfect. The eight leg bolts are new! Two front leg levelers are missing but are readily available from parts. Provided it is paid for at the. Recommend you contact michelle bianchi, precision transportation agent. Mbianchi at precision-nal dot com. 630-352-3312 (toll free 877-432-2646) for a quote.

Options include door to door service including all of the loading, unloading, blanket-wrapping, shrink-wrapping, etc. Machines, the “per machine” cost is significantly reduced, so make.

Can finally get a good hand! If it’s easy you want, easy you shall. It’s current mechanical condition allows you to start playing.

This machine from the moment you get it home, with only some minor glitches in. It’s getting tough to find this machine. With nice overall cosmetics, especially the playfield, because this so fun to play. It gets a lot of use which usually means. Extensive wear to the cosmetics. With its nice backglass, playfield, and. Original cabinet paint, added to its current working condition, you can’t go. I can’t say much more than this is a nice. Looking machine that is hard to find in any condition, let alone nice.

Miss out on this one if you’ve been looking for the em! Most likely, another em won’t turn up for a while.
