Hi, you are looking at a used playboy 35th anniversary pinball machine. This machine has been shopped out and works 100%. Their is a button missing on the front door but other than that this machine is in good condition. I will pallet the machine for an extra $75.00. Monday thru thursday i can only answer questions at night.

Game was manufactured in 1978, when solid state machines were just getting started, and bally hit it out of the park with this pinball. It is a four player, digital, coin-operated machine, with all the coolest features in pinball machines of this era.

This machine does show it’s age, with minor playfield wear, and minor backglass paint issues, neither effecting the play of this game in any way. As you can see by the pictures, it still looks great, and the cabinet has no paint fading, which is really rare.
The best part about this machine is how it plays. Game has been completely gone through, all boards have been refurbished by trained pinball techs. All rubber ring and lamps replaced with new. It plays the way it should! This machine will continue to increase in value, so why not invest in fun!

It has also been touched up and re-stenciled giving it a much newer look! All of the lights and rubber bumpers are new! The backglass & playfield are in great condition! It’s truly a collectable item. Nice arts, sounds and well designed, really fun to play. This machine is in my private game room, never been stored in the garage or any commercial places.

Then clean, scrub, and polish the playfield surface, replace all (above playfield) light bulbs with new ones. Then install all new rubber bands; then clean all the plastics and put it all back together.

The full shop-job also involves testing and adjusting every single switch, light bulb, score display, and solenoid on the machine. We get everything working electronically.
On this pin, all of the score displays not only work, but work perfectly - no missing segments; no burned up numbers. The lights, coils, and switches all work fine on this also. But keep in mind that this game is now over 30 years old.
Of the bulb sockets on the playfield and some of the switches might be a tad bit flaky from time to time. But it shouldn’t affect game play much. And the more you play it, the better things will get.

Did the guys who restored this know what they were doing? I can say with confidence that this game was reconditioned by the two most over-qualified pinball technicians anywhere. First of all, both of us are engineers from the university of il. Second, one of us (not me) actually worked at williams pinball during the boom years and even designed a game for williams (which they never produced, but stole several ideas from for other games).

Finally, both of us were previously top founding executives at a very promising internet startup company until fairly recently. One of us (me) is down on his luck, and therefore monkeying with old pinballs again. But honestly, we should be ruling the world, not replacing rubber bands on a 30 year old bally pinball machine. God works in strange and mysterious ways. So you can own a game reconditioned by two top silicon valley executives.

Physically, this game is generally in average condition. The backglass is exceptionally nice - perfect really. Still vibrant and looking like new. The head looks great too.

It has been repainted around the backglass. The playfield is a bit worn. I’ve seen much worse, but i’ve seen better too. The playfield plastics are mostly intact and are all there, but have lots of little pin-prick sized holes in the paint.

The paint has been touched up as well as possible. Bottom line: this pinball is not nice enough for a museum, but it would look and function just perfectly for a home rec room. Please check the photos above. Please note that you can click on the images for larger versions of each photo.

Anywhere in the country, although i have seen it go higher in remote areas of oregon and washington, plus about $60 if you want it delivered to your home. I can also work with north american van lines, if you prefer to use them. Their rates tend to be higher, but they do remove the need for palletizing and they will deliver to your residence for no extra charge. Games closer to 200lbs (plus pallet) are considered relatively light, and games over 300lbs are considered heavy. For this item, which will include the pallet, then rolling the game with cardboard, then covering it with stretch-film, then strapping it to the pallet, and finally covering it with “fragile” stickers. My games are wrapped extremely well…

Authentic 1978 bally playboy pinball machine. This is a full-size bally 1978 playboy pinball machine, just like the one in the playboy mansion. Wouldn’t this be the ultimate valentine’s day gift. This machine has been in our home for many years and it is in good working condition. We have not experienced any problems with it other than the need of an occasional light bulb replacement. If there is anything non-operational on this machine, we sure haven’t been able to find it.
This machine is from 1978 and has normal wear and scratch marks appropriate for a machine of its age. In addition to the normal wear and scratch marks, the pink paint on the right-hand side of the machine is sun-faded due to being situated near a window inside of our home (this machine has never been stored outdoors) and some of the rubber will probably need to be replaced within the next year or so, as minor aging of the current rubber is beginning to show. This is a soft-cover 72 page book which includes schematics and part numbers. This book is dated june 29, 1978. This book looks pretty useful; however, we have never had to use it, because we have never had to repair the machine. Some of the light bulbs are for the back glass and some are for the playing field.

All of the light bulbs are for this machine. This stool is not from bally nor does it have a playboy theme.

It’s just a really nice looking vintage stool that is a good size for this machine. It looks like a stool that you would find in an arcade.

We had them sitting on top of the machine as a decoration. It must be picked up from irvine, ca 92620. We’ll do our best to answer your questions as soon as possible.

The playfield has been striped cleaned and waxed. All light bulbs and rubbers have been changed. All switches have been gone threw and cleaned.

Sanded and filled cabinet nicks. Re sanded and primed cabinet. Re painted cabinet with stencils. Sanded and cleaned inside cabinet. Stripped top side of playfield and sanded smooth. Applied a new playfield overlay. Installed brand new displays, tumbled all metal parts and cleaned and polished all plastic posts. Re built pop bumpers and flippers as needed.

Re assembled with all new light bulbs and rubber rings. Installed a brand new plastic set. Installed all new drop targets. Re built the sound board. Re built lamp driver board.

Installed a new mpu board and power regulator board. Game includes new legs, leg protectors, bolts and leg levelers. Game also includes a new high polished ball.

The cabinet is very solid. It does have some light fade along with a few marks or scratches. The playfield has great color, some wear near the inserts, but not worn out by any means.

Overall, she’s in better than average shape by far. There is some small burn in on a couple of them but no big deal. The backglass looks very good from the front but the silkscreen started lifting on the bottom. The previous owner put tape across it to stop the progression.

It really did a pretty good job of saving the backglass too. All the sounds, lights, music, and coils work fine.
We’ve been playing it the past couple days to make sure. The main lamp connector on th epowerr supply was replaced so you shouldn’t have any problems there. This is the first bally playboy i’ve had in several year. It was designed for teenage and older play appeal. The game is exceptionally fun to play regardless. This game has been run through our shop. The playfield has been cleaned and waxed. All plastics and ramps have been cleaned and waxed. All bad bulbs and rubbers have been replaced and all electronics and mechanics have been tested.

We prefer to sell them as. Condition for the person who enjoys playing their favorite pin at home. We do not represent them as being in collector or near collector condition unless specified as such.

I’m getting married soon so i need to reduce my pinball collection so there is more room in the house. Everything works since the day i got it; the machine is very reliable, circuit boards boot fine, sound works good, displays are fine, solenoids are strong, nearly all bulbs are lit (i noticed one not lit), rubbers are good (some were replaced within the last year). The outside cabinet has been re-painted by hand and it came out quite nice in my opinion, however a critic might argue otherwise. The playfield is worn in some areas, however it still gives me enjoyment since i like the skill shots. Some of the plastics have buckled a little; it was like this from the previous owner.

The backglass is 95% good, the bottom is chipping. Includes one key to the front door, one key to the back cabinet (feels like no tumblers in the lock to back cabinet), no manual, no coin box. Getting a pallet, straps and wraps, please budget $100 for materials and labor.

The main cabinet body measures approximately 53″l x 22″w x 21 h. The back display box measures approximately 28″h x31″w x 11d. The electronics and connectors are old and delicate, thus removing and re-connecting these cables can cause irratic symptoms as well as vibrations during transportation can cause electronic and mechanical component damage, paint chipping, and glass breakage. If paying by check, please allow 2 weeks for funds to clear before the machine is released.
