This is a 1971 Williams Doodle Bug single player electro-mechanical pinball machine that’s been thoroughly gone over and ready to play. More information about this game in general can be found here BY CLICKING HERE. The following is a list of what was done to this game, it is extensive. I pay someone to go through EM games for me and he is a retired engineer and very thorough. Replaced broken switch actuator and coil on lock relay. Tightened screws, filed contacts and checked/adjusted all switch and relay contacts. Rerouted and dressed wiring from power plug to floor. Reworked both cabinet flipper button assemblies and switches. Soldered wires to toggle power switch. Cleaned and polished tilt mechanisms. Removed front door and all door components. Cleaned and polished door and components, and reinstalled components. Adjusted coin mech switches and reformed switch actuator piano wires. 25 cent mech, no 10 cent mech included. Reinstalled front door and adjusted fit. Replaced coin door lock (new with two keys). Head lock has 1 key. Removed palm rest and locking bar. Cleaned, polished, and reinstalled. Removed five pop bumpers. Disassembled, cleaned, polished, reassembled, and reinstalled. Removed five pop bumper spoon/switch assemblies. Cleaned, reinstalled and adjusted switches. Made and replaced both linkages. Replaced broken right hand flipper-to-playfield bushing. Reinstalled flipper assemblies and adjusted. Removed Doodle Bug assembly and cleaned. Replaced rubber rings, relamped, and reinstalled assembly. Tightened all screws and relay contacts under playfield, and checked/adjusted. Removed, cleaned and reinstalled ball return assembly. Removed ball guides and ball track, cleaned and reinstalled. Cleaned, polished, and reinstalled placard holder. Reproduced and installed instructional placards. Removed rubber rebound mount plate, cleaned rust and corrosion, polished and reinstalled. Removed, cleaned and polished all playfield components. Cleaned and polished playfield. Cleaned, lubed and adjusted credit unit. Corrected improperly indexed replay unit reel. Rearranged improperly arranged replay unit switch stack on replay unit. Overhauled four score reels. Overhauled ball count unit and match unit. Swapped 10-point and 10,000-point coils and plunger stops, to correct chattering on 10-point score. Cleaned cabinet with Mean Green. Cleaned and polished cabinet rails. Ran tap and die on leg bolts and anchor nuts. Cleaned and polished legs, and replaced levelers. Replaced weak center pop bumper coil. Checked game operation and made repairs as needed. Note that the match feature does not work. I’m glad to help with any future issues if I can. I can assist in loading. The free listing tool.
